Seven years ago Amy and I met on the Brown Line train just past the Merchandise Mart. And two years ago today we got married. We're celebrating the special day back home in Upstate NY with Mom and the rest of the family. It was wonderful to meet our 6 month old niece and to spend a few days with my sister Jennifer and her husband Nate. Mackenzie, their daughter, is an absolute joy. We had so much fun visiting with her. It was hard to leave when we had to.

It's great to see the family and to see the country changing its colors. Autumn in Upstate is always beautiful if a little chilly.

Truthfully, though, I could not be happier.
