I've decided to open up the weblog archive. At one point is was closed off except to registered members due to an incident, However, that company has since closed its doors so they can just eat it. Use the search to find something that youmight be looking for. Maybe you'll find it.

Happy November everyone. I imagine everyone had a fine Halloween yesterday. Mine was just how it should be - I stayed home and handed out some candy to some kids; I watched "Friends" and "Survivor" as well as "CSI".
Thursdy night television is great. We taped "ER" as well so we'll have that to watch this weekend. Yes, TV is YOUR friend with it's warm glowing glowness.
Some Fun Facts about those CrAzY Pilgrims! Ah they were a funny bunch...

Good morning everyone! And a happy Monday to you I hope. In a bizarre twist I am still waiting to hear back from Adventist about when I'm actually supposed to start working there. Over a week ago I was given a verbal acceptance but I couldn't tell you when I'm going to start working though. Eh, oh well... - Good attitude to have I bet.
Went through some of our Sunday Chicago Tribune newspaper that get s delivered right to our door every week (very nice, huh?). They have a "hip" section in the paper now called "Section Q" - aimed at Gen Xers or something (25-34 age group). Anyway, I couldn't believe what I was seeing when I saw this article about "Special K". I'm not really sure where they're going with it.
Also - "Eminem Unlikely leading man is likely to conquer Hollywood". And R.I.P. Jam Master Jay. I grew up on Run DMC! I was like 9 years old when a cousin of mine had a tape of "Raising Hell" (taped from an original) and we made a copy of it and I can soooo remember learning all the words to "Peter Piper". Tragic that he was just gunned down like that.
*sigh*
Well, I'm off to school today - not for me, though, silly goose. I told Amy I'd help her out at school for a couple of hours since I'm obviously not going to work.

I didn't go to school today as it turns out... staying home and working on tastypopsicle for now. I have a "project" idea that I think I'll start too.
And in other news : After 9 years, man finishes worldwide bicycle journey. What?!?

Check them out in the bboards. Had a FUN time at Vision on Saturday even though I am in some SERIOUS pain still... whew!!! Where's the Ben-Gay?
I am currently busy and working at Adventist as a web developer. Not much more different that when I was contracting for them except I can't wear my pajamas (or jeans! grrrr) and now I get a steady pay check which will be useful for a number of things like:
-eating
-living
-and some day owning a home
-and eating
Ps... NEW rant as well
Right now I'm feelin' - sore

Raves as a "crackhouse" - it isn't something we haven't heard already. On the FRONTPAGE of the USAToday, the main story as a matter of fact, the headline reads Cities crack down on raves Rising popularity prompts backlash over drug use.
U.S. Attorney Tom Moss says, ''We learned that they were basically glorified drug parties,'' Moss said. ''It's a classic crack-house (type) situation.''
The ACLU says the bill violates the First Amendment right to expression by targeting a form of music and criminalizing a culture. ''It's not going to stop raves . . . , and it's not going to stop people from obtaining drugs."
But anti-drug specialists say rave music and drugs are inseparable, and that the rave culture is largely defined by Ecstasy.

Like I said, this isn't anything we haven't heard of already - I guess the USAToday likes to jump on whatever seems to be the hot-topic of the day.

It's been a busy busy week. Life in Hinsdale at Adventist is going well. I spent the last two days in the longest orientation of my life - the worst part of it all being that a lot of it is more hospital specific than anything else. Like, how to put a fire out if a patient is on fire (yes, it has happened here a few times apparently). It was ok and the other new people seemed friendly enough. They will all be working directly with the hospital though.
So, working, working and working - those seem to be the 3 things I have been busy with the most.
Watch out Apple! Whew... the iPod has a serious contender. The Terapin Mine® is a 10GB hard drive that not only is an MP3 player like the iPod - not only like an external hard drive like the iPod, but also can be used as a storage device with USB enabled digital cameras, DV cameras, or many many other things. PLUS, it has built in ethernet to transfer files across a network! HOT DAMN!

I apologize (to the 2 people out there). tastypopsicle.com is going to crap, isn't it? The radio stations don't work and now the weather isn't working. They should fire the guy that is "working" on the site. Jeesh!
I'm a bit tired and crabby today - maybe it's the weather. Driving home tonight isn't going to be any fun I can be sure of that. Coming into work today the traffic was just fine but as I look out my small window here I can see that the snow is falling down fast and building up. I wish I had a spot in the parking garage here. I think I'll move the car when people go out for lunch in about another hour.
Is it Christmas yet? I wanna go home.
