I've decided to open up the weblog archive. At one point is was closed off except to registered members due to an incident, However, that company has since closed its doors so they can just eat it. Use the search to find something that youmight be looking for. Maybe you'll find it.

This post needs a title
Well it's about goddamn time I let you all (if anyone is still out there) have a peek into my life. In essence, to sum up the last few weeks, I am no longer employeed full-time anywhere. DaVinci is no more and I am currently working on a contract basis with the folks that are still around. Trust me, it's not that many.
DaVinci sunk like a brick and I was at the asses-end of the ship watching it sink, taking some folks with it while others jumped desperately trying to find a life preserver.
I am working, though, so that is a good thing. The bills come in and Amy and I manage to pay what we can. I guess it's all kinda good though - we don't have to pay for gas, or a home phone line so there aren't those bills. The weather has been great so we haven't even had to turn on the heat yet so the electric bill is low. The biggest is the rent of course, but that got paid in full albeit the last possible day at the last possible moment. Had more to do with when I got paid ( a few days later than I should have) and the uncomfortable fear as I was told that if I tried to cash my check, the check could bounce, thus sending off a domino effect where any check I wrote would also bounce.
Ergo, thus, copium ex e pluribus and la la la.
Tonight, me and my beautiful lady are going to have a few cocktails and play "Life" - a game in which you get a job and pay bills, and try to become a millionaire. If it can't really happen, you might as well pretend. Plus we're drinking so that'll make it all seem the better.
Terretta - lets get together next week, say 9am Tuesday. We'll go to a bar and then go back to the old office.
Homer - I'll get in touch p'rolly tomorrow. I'll be at the office while they take away what ever is left over.
Mom - I love you. Tell the kids and family I say hi.
Keep your eyes open for my site that I've been working on to go live soon.

NiteQuil kicks DayQuil's ass!
*sigh*
I've been drinking A LOT of juice and swallowing a few DayQuil geltabs - tonight I'll have some TheraFlu and then the all important, NiteQuil!! mmmmmm
Amy will be home soon - that'll make me feel better too.

Anyway, Christmas was very good despite not being able to go home to Syracuse this year to see my family. Amy's family opened their hearts and homes and I was able to spend it with them.
Santa came too! No, he didn't get me everything I wanted (like a full time job) but I did get some nice parting gifts. This season I think Amy and I did some things for eachother but a lot of stuff was for the both of us. Thanks to Amy for stepping up this Christmas and making it sooooo special. Being sans-job meant that I had to be a bit more thrifty with my spending. This means, of course, that X-mas 2002 will hopefully be filled with a lot more presents for everyone.
I am finally better - thank you for asking. The cold I had kept me bed bound for about 5 days and then Amy wasn't feeling great so we really took it slow and easy so we wouldn't get too ill. So aside from recuperating and preparing for the holidays I haven't done too much else.
Some small work on the side and some hope for the new year.
I need to do some more with this site don't I?
I'm working on it!!

Oh, and if you're using Netscape on a MAC then you know that it looks terrible. What about on a PC? I dunno - I don't even want to download it.
Oh god, last night one of our candles just melted all over and a good portion found itself on our carpet. Remaining calm, Amy grabbed a butter knife and we removed as much as we could. Then I took to the 'net and found out what to do next to get the rest out. The BEST solution, folks, is get a paper bag and a warm iron. Place a large portion of the paper bag on the wax area and then set the warm iron on the bag. Repeat this process as the bag absorbs the wax. It worked like a charm! Just a good household tip...
What else? Not much. Oh well.

Anyway, I'm finally up and moving today. We'll see what I get done.
