Happy Tuesday? What? I've been M.I.A. it seems. Mostly because the cable modem at home is not working and hasn't been for a week. Which means neither Amy nor I can even do anything on the computers - BAH! to RCN terrible service.
I can't believe it's December already! And the snow is CrAzY! I think this is more than what we had all of last winter. Or maybe it's just becuase it's earlier this year. I dunno. Thank God for the indoor parking garage.
What I also can't believe is that in a few weeks I'll be going home to Syracuse - 16 days from now as a matter of fact. We'll be returning on the 30th - just in time for New Year's... speaking of which what's everyone doing?

Good Morning!
uggghhh I literally *JUST* woke up. The home network appears to be working. RCN came out here yesterday and I guess my cable splitter was bad - that's why I was losing packets like CrAzY!
Right now I'm looking out my apartment window and lake Shor Drive (LSD) is PACKED on the inbound side. It's a mess. It better clear up in the next 45 minutes or I'm breaking some knee caps.
I can't believe in just 9 more days I'll be on my way home. I think it's going to be a fun trip - I hope so anyways.

I'm still at work
Too many pages to print out
When can I go home?
That's my 5-7-5 haiku of the moment. We have to print out 2609 letters to the physicians that they have on file for the new physician portal that I have been working on. It contains their username and password so there really is no easy way to do this. So it's game of "sit and wait". Blah - it's soooooo hot in here too. ugghhhhh, it's like Sweatin' to the Oldies! Thankfully this is all moving along smoothly now.
2 more days til we leave. I'm not even close to being ready to go yet. Still too many things to do - like laundry. There's ALWAYS laundry to do right before a trip. And of course the "loose-ends". I'm not really sure what all the loose-ends are. I guess that's why they're called loose-ends.
Oh, and I still need to eat some time today. That would be nice.

Just downloaded and installed a new web browser called CrazyBrowser which looks to have some pretty enhanced features such as the tabbed browsing which I fell in love with in Mozilla. CrazyBrowser looks straight out of Windows XP even though I don't even have XP installed. And even IESpell works with it!! There's no button at the top of the browser, but all I have to do is right-click in a form field and then it spell checks it! oh yea!! happy days!
oh, and it's crappy rainy outside. Major thunderstorm action going on for the last 14 hours. And can you believe it's over 50° outside?! Christmas?! Winter?! you say. BAH!!! more like April. humbug!

Home Sweet Home!
Ah - it's soooo nice to be back in Chicago. New York (both Upstate and NYC) were a lot of fun but I think it's always nice to come back home to all the familiar stuff. NYC is just a busy, busy place and Syracuse/Cazenovia is too slow so I guess Chicago is like Baby Bear's porridge in "Goldie Locks and the Three Bears" - it's just right.
Christmas was nice - I hope everyone else had a good holiday. It was nice to see the family and spend time with everyone. We hada lot of fun at the various parties that were going on. Ummmm oh - in NYC we saw "Phantom of the Opera". While I thouroughly enjoyed the performance I do admit I was a little lost at times. Sometimes it was hard to understand what the singers were saying - know what I mean?
