Membership has its privilages!
I've reimplemented the Weblog Archive - all of the posts that I put on my site on a day-to-day (sometimes week-to-week, I know) basis. I started sharing my thoughts with everyone back in July 2001 but no one really had a way to get back to those postings. Become a member of tastypopsicle.com and you'll be able to go back in time.
Get everything - the good, the bad and the ugly!
It's Friday and that means it's time to go!
Catch ya on the flip side...

Thanks to Jerome's quick eyes I was able to repair a glitch with the message boards that did allow you backdoor your way into other topics. I wasn't checking the access in the right spot - silly goose!
The weekend was a good one. More relaxed and less stressed for the most part. I should have been more considerate on Friday night. I was a real jerk to Amy and for that I am very, very sorry. Hi to Tim and Cassie. It was very good to see you guys Saturday night. Too bad it didn't go EXACTLY as planned, but I know that Amy and I were happy to see you guys. Yea!!
I think tastypopsicle is fine for now. I'm just gonna leave it alone and see what happens.
Work and play will be in the boards. Check 'em out!

SUCCESS! Don't get too excited, now. Last night I upgraded our laptop from WIN98 to WIN2000. I got a lot of good advice on why in 98 if I wasn't connected to a network that it got all CrAzY and wouldn't boot or run properly. I guess I'm supposed to have multiple profiles set up and whatever else. I dunno, it seemed that upgrading would just be better in general. So, it went well except that I did have to go to Compaq's web site and get new drivers. Unfortunately, one of the driver's was for LAN connection so I had to get it on our MAC G4 via Zip Disk and then transfer it that way. And then the monitor had to have updated drivers - well, it was better than I really thought it was going to be. AND I didn't even run a backup first (living dangerously!).
Tuesday is $5 movie night. I think we're gonna see the "Count of Monte Cristo".

No movie on Tuesday night afterall. We did have dinner at a quaint restaurant by the Irving Park/Sheridan intersection. Fordello is the name of the place I believe. I'd have to double check though. We'd recommend it but watch out for the pricey drinks! whooooo - totally caught off guard with that one. The food was good and reasonably priced considering. And the wait staff is almost eerily too nice and friendly. Weird.
These next couple of days (and through the weekend I can presume) are gonna be a little hectic. There's A LOT going on and a short time to accomplish it all. I think I should be able to manage and budget my time for it.
Valentine's Day is just around the corner. What do you have planned for that someone (someones?) special...

What a FUN weekend! I know Amy is with me on this one. Saturday we found out that she got 3 A's and 1 B on her first semester report card from Columbia College!! There was a lot of shouting for joy when she discovered this news. So, of course, we needed to celebrate. And where better than at Ruby Tuesdays up in Lincoln Wood. Cheap margaritas, folks! The 32oz MEGARITA (only one per person), frozen with salt of course. It was a good dinner. And afterwards we continued the festivities by going to see "The Count of Monte Cristo." Can't give this movie enough praise. VERY VERY good. Lots of action, A LOT of laughs, and that romance thrown in. A very good date movie that I wouldn't even mind seeing again. We're thinking that it's one to "add to the collection". Then we went home and watched the hour of Friends that we had taped on Thursday night. We laughed a lot that evening which is always good for the soul.
Sunday! Sunday! Sunday! We went to the south side to see the gang. Did the thrift store thing (I passed on any new items). And then we went to Hooters for some chicken and beer. Mmmmmmmmmm, beer. It was a good day but I know we were both very tired by the time we left. I started to doze off on the ride home. Sad, I know considering it was only 9.30p *sigh*
New post on the boards to all the Close Friends.
I'll be thinking of some ideas to celebrate 2/28 with everyone - you should too.

Today is soooo slow - being President's Day and all. Whatever. I guess a lot of offices are closed along with the Post Office and anything else linked to government-type things. I spent most of the weekend sick to some extent and I'm still not 100%. However, we actually ended up going out on Friday night. My friend Eddie's roommate, Seth, turned 21 and we were invited to go out with them. It was quaint but nice and we ended up hanging out with them for the rest of the night...

I'm very very tired today and it's slow and I am finding it hard to amuse myself. I'm also a bit hungry. The chicken noodle soup didn't quite cut it. I'll have to get something when I get home. Just a few more hours. Just a few more.

Hell yea. So I just added two new groups the message boards. Check 'em out -punk. A suggestion was raised to added a group to discuss my birthday plans. I figure it'll also spill over into discussing anyone else's birthday as well in the future. Furthermore and hence there to for I also added a discussion about weekend festivities. Like, what you're up to each weekend. Parties, DJs, 40s, balloons, whatever. If the conversations get to be too much I'll adjust the access levels. They're both set at 5 now so it's a pretty open forum. Mom, that means you too.
Dude, it's like 1.30a CT. I'm going to bed before the LaBatt's wears off (ouch!)

These last 2 nights have just been way too much. Been up til 1a each night coding. Trust me, it's not for my own stuff unfortunately. I did just fix a problem with the message boards that messed up message postings when you do a Reply-To. It had to do with quotation marks in the input field. Whatever...
Congratulations are in order for my very dear friend, Carla, from highschool. She got engaged on Feb 9!! I'm very, very happy for her. Now on top of med school she can start to plan a wedding for 2003. I certainly don't envy you, dear.

And congrats to Julie D. from HS who managed to get knocked up, NOT EVEN KNOW SHE WAS PREGNANT, and then have a baby! Wow, would have loved to have been there to see the expression on her face when the kid popped out. Supposedly she delvered it herself at home. weird, weird, weird...
Folks are making plans for the weekend... what are you doing? Check out the boards! Ps. I'm changing everyone's accounts so that when you log in it'll redirect you to the message boards. Makes sense I guess.

I need more hours in the day. I must have 100, if not 7, different things going on day-to-day that it's CrAzY keeping track of them. I've decided that I need to get an intern. Yea, an attractive, yet hard working intern from like DePaul or Loyola or something. Obviously, they'd have to work for free but it's the experience that they'll get working in the fast-paced world of interent business strategy. And while this position will offer great opportunity to grow and to learn more skills necessary to make it in this world, this candidate should have basic knowledge of doing laundry, running a dish washer, vaccuming and ideally someone who doesn't mind scrubbing the bathtub - a task I have saddly neglected because of my hectic work schedule.
If you think you have any of these skills and you want to learn some new skills like web and database development and wouldn't mind burning the midnight oil over a hot bowl of Ramen and partaking in such libations as Miller Lite and occasionally Reb Bull and Sky then get in touch with me and we'll work on negotiating a plan that will work for everyone.
