searching @ tastypopsicle.com
I've decided to open up the weblog archive. At one point is was closed off except to registered members due to an incident, However, that company has since closed its doors so they can just eat it. Use the search to find something that youmight be looking for. Maybe you'll find it.

These are a few of my favorite things
Brent Housen's new website, Frozen Vomit Sculpture is only a few days old and it already has grabbed the attention of more than a couple of sets of eyes. A friend of his modded an original NES enclosure to house a Mac Mini. Tres Cool.

Right now I'm feelin' - still ill
Dagaz Life Coaching (live!)
Back on December 30, 2005 I announced that I was beginning work on a site for my aunt, Anne. It has been in development for most of the time, although I have been sick and so I didn't get to work on it much near the end of February. At any rate I am FINALLY happy show off a nearly finished web site Anne Knittel - Dagaz Life Coaching.
The site was put together on a $0 budget so I took advantage of some free resources for both type and imagery. And by free I mean "for reals free" not "I found it and jacked it so it's free." Stock Exchange is a great web site to find all sorts of stock photography taken by folks like you and me who release their work under verious licensing terms. Needless to say I used images that were specifically licensed with no usage restrictions.
As for the typeface that I used for the headers, I chose Selfish a freeware typeface designed by Eduardo Rdcife of misprintedtype.com. I think it's rather beautiful. The whole thing is rather nice I think and I wish my aunt and god-mother all the best of luck!
If you need some help in changing your life give Annie a call.
Resort sued over bedbug bites
This headline would be meaningless to me except for one thing: tastypopsicle.com is the #1 result on MSN when you do a search for it. And apparently a lot of people are searching for it on MSN. The problem, though, is that the story is from yesterday's Chicago Suntimes so when people come to my site they expect to see the news story, except it's not there because it's "old news" as of today. Well, worry no more. I added a CMS component to the Chicago page of my web site and now I can call out top stories right from the page...
So I welcome the folks who have been visiting from MSN for 2 seconds. Now maybe they'll stay a little longer.
Word of the Day
I subscribe to Dictionary.com's Word of the Day and today's word is a beaut!
crapulous \KRAP-yuh-lus\, adjective:
1. Suffering the effects of, or derived from, or suggestive of gross intemperance, especially in drinking; as, a crapulous stomach.
2. Marked by gross intemperance, especially in drinking; as, a crapulous old reprobate.
I'll be sure to use this word at some of life's crapulous moments.
Such Great Heights (Remix by John Tejada)
We (the collective Ed and Amy) love The Postal Service and we're anxiously awaiting their follow-up album to Give Up which should be released later this year. The truth is, we can't get enough of Ben Gibbard and Jimmy Tamborello. The song that we danced to at our wedding was Such Great Heights, the Iron and Wine version. Love it!
So, I'm always on the lookout for more TPS and I just came across a real sweet rack from The District Sleeps Alone Tonight single. It's a remix of Such Great Heights by John Tejada.
eNjoy!
The music that I'm groovin' to is - Such Great Heights (John Tejada Remix)
Hell Yea! U.S. House of Representatives
This is hot.
Someone from the house.gov domain (the U.S. House of Representatives) was checking out my CTA map at 4:30 PM today. Sweet!
Dude spent 2.5 minutes looking at it. Double sweet!
Hope you found it useful. I mean, you must have if you were checking it out for over 2 and a half minutes. Or maybe it was hard to use in which case I am very sorry.
Maybe it was MY representative, Congressman Rahm Emanuel (D). If so, I'd like to meet you and shake your hand and maybe grab a bite to eat. Call me and we'll get that set up.
Happy 50th Birthday, Mom!
My wonderful mother hits a life milestone today by celebrating her 50th birthday today. So what are her plans now that she's 50? Las Vegas of course. She'll be heading out to Nevada from the Syracuse, NY area next week.
I hope you have a great time , mom. You deserve it! Happy Birthday.
