I've decided to open up the weblog archive. At one point is was closed off except to registered members due to an incident, However, that company has since closed its doors so they can just eat it. Use the search to find something that youmight be looking for. Maybe you'll find it.

Leave your email and website in the comments
Looooooooooong overdue. But you can now leave your email address and website address in the comments. Of course, noone will see them except for me so don't bother spamming it up for some 1337 PR bullshit. It takes me seconds to delete comments (which I do regularly) so use it wisely.
Basically it came down to this: ever since I did the CTA Google Map people have been leaving really good comments which I take very seriously. In fact, when it's been pointed out that I have made a mistake with the map I fix it instantly. And for feature requests I try to implement anything within reason - immediately. Trouble is I could never let the people know. All that changes as of tonight.
If you submit a comment you can (should you wish) leave your email address and/or web site address. NO ONE ELSE WILL EVER SEE THIS INFO! So for good or bad your data is secure. My VBScript Kung-Fu takes care of all the business for you.

The strange case of the man who took 40,000 ecstasy pills in nine years (via the Guardain)
Doctors from London University have revealed details of what they believe is the largest amount of ecstasy ever consumed by a single person. Consultants from the addiction centre at St George's Medical School, London, have published a case report of a British man estimated to have taken around 40,000 pills of MDMA, the active ingredient in ecstasy, over nine years. The heaviest previous lifetime intake on record is 2,000 pills.Even when he stopped he didn't...
After several severe collapses at parties, Mr A decided to stop taking ecstasy. For several months, he still felt he was under the influence of the drug, despite being bedridden. The sky is falling! It's all ecstasy's fault!
The doctors discovered that the man was suffering from severe short-term memory problems of a type usually only seen in lifetime alcoholics. But evaluating the full extent of his condition was difficult as his concentration and attention was so impaired he was unable to follow the simple tasks involved in the test. His condition deteriorated and he began to experience recurrent tunnel vision and other problems including hallucinations, paranoia and muscle rigidity.Oh. Never mind...
Mr A was also a heavy cannabis user, and when he was encouraged to decrease his use, his paranoia and hallucinations disappeared and his anxiety abated.Joking aside, that is CrAzY! And when I say crazy I mean retarded.
Get me a sheet of these

At least it's a good return
It only took 3.5 hours but our personal income takes for 2005 are finally done. I decided to do them myself this year, I mean how hard could it be to:
- file jointly, now that I'm married
- report property taxes and interest paid to 3 different mortgage companies (it kept getting bought)
- report two K1's again this year (except 1 actually had a profit for a change!)
- include a 1099, of course (there has never been a year in the last five years when I haven't had to file at least one 1099)
Former Illinois Governor George Ryan found Guilty
This just in: former Illinois Governor George Ryan and co-defendant Larry Warner have been found guilty on all 22 charges.
Big news here in Illinois and Chicago and could have massive implications across the country. Some say Mayor Richard Daley could be next.

Old Skool Sesame Street Videos
TONS of video clips are available on YouTube with some hott Sesame Street video clips. This all started at a mindless MetaFilter post (oxymoron) but then all of the links from the comments and such forth were complied into a very usable post over at J.D. Roth's website, folded space.
Don't bother visiting the web site unless you have at least 3 hours of nothing to do. A true testament to the power of the internet.
All hail teh Intarweb!1! w00t!

My Google CTA Map hits the del.icio.us 100 mark
Early this morning (about 8 hours ago) my Google CTA Map hit a milestone when the 100th person found the map useful enough to add to their del.icio.us bookmarks.
You can take a look at all 100 people by visting my del.icio.us page: CTA: Chicago Transit Authority and Google Maps via tastypopsicle.com (bonus: the first person that bookmarked the site did so on August 5, 2005 and for whatever reason it wasn't me).
