I've decided to open up the weblog archive. At one point is was closed off except to registered members due to an incident, However, that company has since closed its doors so they can just eat it. Use the search to find something that youmight be looking for. Maybe you'll find it.

"Rain, rain go away come again some other day. We want to go outside and play. Come again some other day." Nasty storm we've been having for almost a day now. The lightening was pretty intense last night with some loud cracks of thunder to boot.
It's official, the Mac community loves the new iTunes v4 and Apple's new pay for music service. In 18 hours, Apple sold 275,000 songs. At $.99 a pop that's not too bad. And I read that Apple is getting something like $.34 a song out of the $.99 - that's $93,500. Not bad for digital music that can be sold over and over and over again. The service isn't even offered internationally or even to Windows users which means the sky's the limit with this one. I've given my thoughts on this subject over at SpyMac and Webgraphics.
I'm ready to get turntables now... well, except that I don't have any money to get them so I guess I'm not really ready - yet. FinalScratch has been released for the Mac! FS lets you use two standard turntables (Technics or Numark - whatever) and hardware and software that allows you to play MP3s through the tables and your mixer. In theory, removing the need to ever buy vinyl again while also being able to have the most current music that's available. Here's the offical description...

The big plan tonight is to head over to the Apple Store at the Oakbrook Center by 5:45pm to check out the revolutionary event that's being held at every single Apple Store across the country. Unfortunately, I do not line in LA or anywhere near there or I would be at the Grove store where BT will be performing LIVE! using an iPod to mix music... WHAT?! And in the SoHo store in NYC Richie Hawtin will mixing. CURSES - damn you Chicago! Eh... what am I saying - there isn't even a store in Chicago (yet, I heard that one will be opening on Michigan Ave in the near future). At least I live right down the street from the store now. Should be interesting - there's even a chance to win some JBL speakers and other cool stuff. Did I mention that the whole event is centered around the new iPods and Apple's new iTunes?
And then tomorrow Amy and I going to see the Cubs take on the Colorado Rockies at 1:20pm. Can't wait!

Terrible, terrible, terrible...
My cell phone is missing and has been since yesterday. We went to a high school play for Amy's sister out in Mundeline, IL and after we had taken Amy's father home I looked into the bag that we had brought that had our phones and other stuff in it to retrieve my phone and I realized it wasn't there. So we went back to the high school (which is the last place where we knew it was) and we searched and we searched but by that time it couldn't be found. Plus - it was almost 11pm and so it was difficult to see anything outside and we couldn't find it in the auditorium.
*sigh*
It's the whole principle I guess. We don't know how it disappeared or when or why. It just is what it is. This message is a (sad) attempt at finding it. The phone was off when we lost it but when you turn it on it says "tastypopsicle.com" - so if someone finds the phone and they turn it on maybe they'll think to visit my site and then contact me. The bet way to do that, by the way, would be to call Amy on her phone: 773.407.6446. Thanks
Oh, and thd Cubs game was freezing cold and they lost. What a great day yesterday was. Sleeping in all day would have been safer.

Damn spammers! I had to put a stop to the spam that I am getting. Awhile back I believe my email address was harvested from own site - I did not efficiently code it so as to prevent 'bots from scraping the address from my web site. Therefore, you can no longer send email to ed@tastypopsicle.com as it will just bounce back to you. Please use an alternative address (you can get it from the left side navigation). Let this be a lesson I suppose. As for you, you ass-spammers, I say a big "F, freakin' U!"

Which OS are You? Take the quiz then post your results.
I'm definitely eNjoying Clutter for OS X iTunes. Fun stuff. I really need to get my music converted at home as well.
We had to tape the 3 hour Survivor finale last night - I swear to God himself if someone ruins the results for me before I can watch it tonight I will beat them senseless. Must avoid all news outlets until tomorrow.
Right now I'm feelin' - I don't have a case of the Mondays

Unfortunately, I have accepted the fact that my phone is gone. Curses! I need to get to eBay soon to get a better phone than the replacement that I've got. Stupid Sony Ericsson T320 - worthless phone really. Well, it's not that bad, but it's no T68i that's for sure.
Tonight we're finishing up Amy's web site for her class. I think it looks pretty good. What do you think? This would make for 1 class down - and 4 more to go. And then - summer school for 2 classes. But first we're heading back home to Syracuse, NY for my dear friend from high school, Carla Kovac's wedding. It's June 7th and we still need to get plane tickets and I still need to tell my mom that we'll be staying with her for the weekend. I'm VERY happy for Carla, she was one of my closest friends in school.

I still haven't "officially" accepted the role of Manager of Internet Strategy - we're in the negotiation stage right now. Soon it will all be settled I'm sure. Then I'll be looking for an e-Commerce Developer so send me your resume if you think you'd like to work in the 'burbs.

Well, happy Memorial Day I guess. I hope everyone that had the day off had a good day off. What a busy, busy weekend it was. Thanks to the Memorial Day sales we now own a REAL DVD player - we no longer have to depend on the iBook to watch movies which is nice. And we got a new bed finally!! Oh, I cannot wait for it to arrive! We purchased a Select Comfort bed which has separate air chambers for both Amy and myself so we can sleep on mattress that's just right for the both of us. I cannot wait for it to arrive.
Other than that we had dinner with some friends of ours tonight - mmmm grilling. And now Amy is doing some work and I'm eNjoying some cartoons and finishing laundry.
Soon it will be time to sleep - on our new pillows at least.
