I've decided to open up the weblog archive. At one point is was closed off except to registered members due to an incident, However, that company has since closed its doors so they can just eat it. Use the search to find something that youmight be looking for. Maybe you'll find it.

It's now June everyone. I can't believe it. Where does the time go? Huh? I dunno.
Last night was fun - we were very happy to see Jen and Jeremy as well as Kristen, Cooper, and Nathan. They all made their way over here last night for a night of Nintendo and "berverages". Mmmmm beverages. And a special thanks to Jen and Jer for the wonderful house warming gifts. Yummy!!
What else?
Oh, this weekend we're heading up to Syracuse for Carla's wedding. We leave Thursday evening and return the following Monday morning - just in time for Amy's first summer class. Today is her last class which is actually at her teacher's house. But she is done with another semester. Hoorah!!

Why do I love MetaFilter so much? Becuase they always find the most interesting stories that we might otherwise miss. And when MetaFilter picks upa juicy story people tend to listen to it. Don't be surprised if you hear more about this story on the news in the next few days.
Here's an interesting story for people who like to write and post stuff on the internet Judge Diana Lewis of Circuit Court in West Palm Beach issued an order that forbids Mr. Tucker Max to write about Ms. Katy Johnson. That prohibition is not limited to his website. She ruled on May 6, before Mr. Max was notified of the suit and without holding a hearing. She told Mr. Max that he could not use "Katy" on his site. Nor could he use Ms. Johnson's last name, full name or the words "Miss Vermont." The judge also prohibited Mr. Max from "disclosing any stories, facts or information, notwithstanding its truth, about any intimate or sexual acts engaged in by" Ms. Johnson. Finally, Judge Lewis ordered Mr. Max to sever the virtual remains of his relationship with Ms. Johnson. He is no longer allowed to link to her Web site. ... All this as a result of a lawsuit in which Ms. Johnson maintained that Mr. Max had invaded her privacy by publishing accurate information about her.
You really have to read the story on his site to really appreciate it all. Thanks to the NY Times for writing the orginal story [Internet Battle Raises Questions About the First Amendment]
Back from Syracuse
We're safely back from Syracuse/Cazenovia, NY. It was a nice weekend and it was certainly great to see my family and to see Carla Kovacs marry Spencer Parr. We took many pictures this past weekend and I hope to have many of them on tastypopsicle in the coming days.
Amy has started her summer classes as of Monday. We hope that the two classes she will be taking will not be too overwhelming. So far so good. And even better is that she got straight A's last semester!! Good job, sweetie. I'm very proud of you.
Busy week ahead at work as well as at home. Lots of e-Squared to work on as well. *sigh*
When will it all end? I really need an intern or something!

This site is just falling apart. Surprise, surprise - the weather isn't working - AGAIN and the Chicago news has been busted for days. I've looked into both problems but I haven't been able to find a solution at this time. CURSE YOU ASP!!Maybe I just need to rewrite the code at some point. Yea... that's the ticket!
*sigh*
Happy Friday all.

All along I thought aerosol and car exhaust was destroying our planet, but apparently it's those senseless cows! Thank god SOMEONE is looking to put an end to this tragedy. Researchers in Nebraska (off all places) believe that cows breath is contributing to global warming...
Scientists at the University of Nebraska are developing an additive to cattle feed that they hope will cut down or eliminate the 420 to 640 quarts of methane gas the average cow produces while breathing each day.
Researchers believe methane is of no benefit to cows and say 16 percent of the energy found in digested feed is wasted producing gas.
That's right - 16 percent of a cows energy is WASTED - gone like a fart in the wind. I bet that has something to do with global warming, too, but then I'm no scientist from Nebraska.

PUREvolution with Digweed, BT and Crystal Meth
This news is just too good for the music message board or the weekend message board:

Men Who Can't Concentrate - ADHD
Ahhh ha.... so it IS possible. There is a story today on the keepingyouwell.com web site under Men's Health concerning ADHD. The title is great, it's called Men Who Can't Concentrate: Adult Attention Deficits. As I read the article I noticed that I fit into the category nicely - especially all the "Bright Side" stuff:
1. Boundless energy and enthusiasm
2. Innovative thinking
3. Curiosity
4. Emotional intuition
...
9. Sociability
10. Creativity
In fact I think I fit most of the 10 points that they make concerning the brighter side of ADHD. And as I read further I begun to think that maybe I've been handling it ok.2. Innovative thinking
3. Curiosity
4. Emotional intuition
...
9. Sociability
10. Creativity
"About half [of these men] are helped by medications. The other half improve their lives by learning how to get organized and pay attention to details," Dr. Goldman says.
Right now I'm feelin' - ohhh pretty lights!

Apple's New Magnificant Mile Store
Apple's World Wide Developer's Conference (WWDC) began TODAY in San Francisco. Steve Jobs should be wrapping up his keynote any time now. The big news: Apple is announcing their new line or G5 computers. The G5 is designed for dual-processor systems which should make these new machines the fastest personal computers. Apparently these processors can reach 2GHz and are being developed by IBM (not Motorola as they have in the past). There is also Panther - the updated operating system. iChat will now support video which is fitting because Apple is also announcing iSight, a firewire video camera that recoreds at 30fps...
Did I mention the G5 is the world's first 64-bit processor?
And lot lots more...
Also, this weekend - Friday June 27 6:00pm - 11:00pm is the GRAND OPENING of the Apple Store on Michigan Avenue. I'm thinking I might try to make it there. Anyone interested? I want a t-shirt!!
