This heat is driving us CrAzY! At least we're staying cool with the pool. Of all the amenities to this place the pool has got to be the best part. It really does make living here that much better - not that Pensacola is bad or anything. It's actually quite nice.
This past weekend we went to Jesus Raves put on by Drop Bass up in Milwaukee, WI. One word describes all of it - DIRTY. It was at this worn down, abandoned theater. The place was literally falling apart. Pieces from the ceiling would fall in our hair all night. And you wanna talk about hot?! My god it was hot in there. No ventilation at all. And the music was very dark and hard. Some experimental stuff but the best was Phantom 45 and his Drum n Bass. That was good. But he didn't go on til 4a! Uggghhh we were soooo tired. But we left at 5a and headed back to our place to shower and sleep.
Apparently there is some free party this weekend - we'll see about that. I don't think I'm up for it. A lot is going on this week with it being the 4th of July and all. I mean, I don't have a jobby job so it's not that big of a deal to me. But Amy will be home early on Wednesday probably and then she has the 4th off - we're going to the south side on the 3rd to see our friend Jen off to California where she'll be moving to. It'll be weird with her gone I think.

Happy Birthday, America! It's the Fourth of July and you know what that means?!... whatever, it's just another hot, sweaty day if you ask me. Don't get me wrong, I understand and appreciate what today is - truly, I am an American. But it's HOT. I know I bitch about that a lot, but it's not like I have a job that I go to everyday so today isn't extra special. I guess it is becuase Amy's got the day off. Yea, that's a good thing.
Wondering why we're up so early? We're heading to the South Side to see the gang and wish Jen off on her way to California. Yep - she leaves today for a different and perhaps better life. Good luck Jen - you'll be missed by all.
On a lighter note - go see the Powerpuff Girls Movie!! hee hee we saw it yesterday (we were able to catch a 4.50p matinee when Amy got home). Besides being a good first movie (oh yes, it finished as if there was more to come - watch out Superman) it was beautifully drawn! I caught myself saying that a few times in the movie. It's a completely different style then you'll see in other "cartoons". Very unique and intriguing. Not to mention it's also done in a slightly different style then the cartoon series. It looks crisper and more refined. Great job Craig McCracken!

I know it's already Wednesday but we had a great weekend! Hi to Kristen and Cooper - we had a fun night with you guys on Saturday mmmmm white cherries... I hope that you're feeling better now, Kristen.
Went and saw Mr. Deeds last night. We have all these movie passes that we need to use up before the end of the month. The original idea when we first got them was to see a movie a month or so, you know? But that didn't happen and now we're playing catch-up... grrrrr. Oh, don't bother seeing Mr. Deeds - not even if you like Adam Sandler movies. This was no Billy Madison or Happy Gillmore. Oh well, we brought some "happy juice" to have during the show. Not that it helped much.
I'm out to Hinsdale today so that'll be nice to be out of the house. And what a BEAUTIFUL day it's going to be! Sunny and only 77°F for the high - not too shabby.

This weekend was an eventful one. Got to see Kristen and Cooper again - congrats to you Cooper on your graduation. We'll work on getting you that job now...
You will of course have to bring the PS2 over next time. Hope you guys eNjoyed the BBQ on Saturday night. I guess it turned out pretty good. there were A LOT of people there that I had no idea who they were. Oh well... I thought the food and beer were good anyway.
Amy's getting new glasses and contacts. I'm excited about the new glasses on her. She's going to look very sexy-sophisticated with her new focals. hee hee
I think it's great and I know she'll eNjoy wearing her glasses more in public.
Sunday = bum day. Didn't do much but cleaned up a bit around the ol' place. Of course it's never done but it's getting there.
Checked my HumanContext email today. Come to find out that I'm only getting $540 of the $880 that's owed to me. I'll have to wait for the rest until they get paid from a client. My ass, I say. Great way to bite the hand that feeds you. great way to keep up good relations.

What a busy week it has been and I believe it is going to remain that way for awhile. A lot of work for the e² gig - with some more potential stuff in the "pipeline". How deliciously queer... why do corporate big shots like to say "pipeline"? In the real world, what is a pipeline ayway? When someone in charge says that there is stuff coming down the pipeline I've sort of been accustomed to believing that this means that none of the projects are going to come through and I will in all likely hood be laid off - just my experience.
Im just $340 away from being paid all that is owed to me from HumanContext. So close yet so far.
No big plans for the weekend. Just the meeting of Friday night as always and maybe catch a movie with Amy on Saturday. Not much else I guess.

Wasn't this weekend's weather just absolutely unbearable? Sunday it was like 98°F but it felt like it was well over 100°F with the haze and humidty. We decided to stay in was we attempted to remain cool in the nicely air conditioned bedroom. But uggghhh it was so terrible whenever we'd go into the living room. It was like an oven in there.
Over the weekend we rented "Serendipity" - a John Cusak, Kate Beckinsale movie. We both eNjoyed it very much. It was one of those romantic comedies but it was entertaining - which is all that's inportant. Also over the weekend we went and saw "The Bourne Identity" - that Matt Damon James-Bondesque movie. As Amy put it - she eNjoyed it a lot more than she thought she would. I liked it a lot. It looks like it could be the next Bond theme. I could see more movies being made around his character Jason Bourne. All in all it was a great weekend with Amy. We had a wonderful time togetherand I know were looking forward to the next time we can spend 48 hours together.
Also - this just in - I added a new section the electric ice. I decided to add a zipped file of an entire CD that I eNjoy. Hopefully I'll keep it updated and fresh. Right now, Sandra Collins' CD "Lost In Time" is available for you. Grab it and listen and then come back and let me know what you think.

Lots and lots of stuff done with tastypopsicle.com - I mean just take a look around you lazy bum! Finally putting some real use to the scanner I got for my birthday back in February. Check out the Photo Gallery for a sneak peak at what's to come. I've also done some stuff behind the curtains with some code it a little more streamlined. Added a lil' weather module that I made - pulls the info from weather.com which encouraged me to write my HTML scraper a little better. Now it's only 5 lines of code and it makes more sense.
I'm inspired to add a reviews section to the site. I figure we all see a lot of movies and listen to a lot of music. I think a section where registered members can write reviews would be pretty cool. Just need the time to do it...

So have you seen "Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones" yet? We finally caught it on Tuesday and it's actually a really good movie. Entertaining, good effects, very nice costumes, and you you gotta love the Yoda fight! Much better than Episode I. ugghhhhh - terrible movie.
On the way home we actually caught the tail-end of an accident. Some guys misjudged an exit on Western Ave and ended up flipping the car on to its driver side. Luckily, it wasn't anything serious, but I made the 911 call anyway. First one ever - I was calm and the woman on the other end was very patient. Good experience I'd say. I'll be ready for the next time.
