It's a 3D animation of Soundwave and a casseticon ("Lazer" - not a real Transformer; created for this video) with, in likelihood, some motion-capture used on some real dancers to capture the fluid movements. Mark Wilenkin is the man cited as the compositor and editor and is responsible for the London based firm, Wilenkin Group. Music is credited to "Lazer" - who ever that might be. Any info?

Well, pretty much all of it. The beginning is slow but stick with it!

Special note: to download and save the video, you'll need two files: TRANSFORMERS_master_320x240.flv - video file as some native Flash animation (21.8 MB) Video_player_06.swf - the player. MAD props to skallas at "Everything Isn't Under Control" for bringing this to our attention. Some Google-ing leads me to believe this was leaked to the world at the beginning of June.

Hi, I tried to revisit that video that i found a while back and almost cried (not pretty) when i saw it was no more but thanks to you I have the files! problem is it doesn't seem to want to play, I tried starting up the Video_player_06.swf (dragging it and opening it with my browser) and it just says "streaming" but I'm not seeing anything. Any ideas? or I don't suppose there is some tool out there to convert .flv files to something like avi? Any help would really be appreciated!

Just wanted to share that the casseticon you are referring to, his name is Rumble!

Hey- never saw tastypopsicle.com before, just found you when I was googling to find a source to download that video permanently instead of stream it from the site.

I guess you're just what I needed...

I dunno, if I remember correctly Rumble was purple? I wish too tat it WAS rumble though, that would have 0wned. The guys who did this rock, they need to make a sequel.

The casseticon featured in this video is not a real Decepticon or even a real Transformer for that matter. The casseticons are Rumble, Frenzy, Laserbeak, Buzzsaw, Ravage, Ratbat Overkill, and several others. It's hard to find a definitive site that gives a lot of Transformer history as well as listing each of the Autobots and Decepticons. I did, however, find Seth Seidler's (craptacular) website that he started back in 2000 and stopped working on a couple years later. His Soundwave info is interesting enough though.
The "casseticon" in this video named Lazer is modeled after Rumble and Frenzy but, yes, the color is way off- and intentionally done so. It represents the guy that did the music for the video.

Using a program called Audio Hijack (as mentioned in another post so I'll spare thedetails) I managed to create an .aiff audio file of the song and then using iTunes I converted it to .mp3

Yea dictator I thought about using it, except for the fact that i dont have a Mac.... They directed me to a Total Recorder program, and after I tried cracking the trial version it couldn't record past 68 seconds.. turns out the crack causes that bug. So after that I gave up cuz I could only get part of the song.. Thanks alot though this is the first time ive found this song even after Googleing around for it

Props to "the dictator" for the .mp3! I have never had luck converting file type so if anyone has not though of it, I would love a link to someones .avi of the whole video. They need to pay this veideo a tribute should they actually make that live action movie.

"Soundwave, play back Lazer's high beats" I believe is actually taken from Transformers: The Movie, and should be "Soundwave, play back Laserbeak's findings" as it refers to a spy video taken by Laserbeak at the beginning of the film.

Just clearing that up.

As for Megatron's quote, it is as ventiRio said, except it sounds like it has been clipped to say (more appropriately "play back Lazer's findings." Sounds like the "beak" was clipped out for context.

As for converting the file, I found a program called "SUPER" that allows you to convert it from the ".flv" format, to several more common media formats, with size, bitrate and sound channel options (I put it on my video iPod, I'm VERY stoked) You can download it here:
